It was based on all aspects of physics that are used in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and civil engineering. He is also the founder of Indian Journal of Electrical Engineering, which has been published since 1965. The journal has 31 volumes and is unknown as to how many times it has been published. Ghoshal's book on Electronic Circuits and Devices (second edition) was published in 1972. This book is based on his work as a professor of electronic engineering at the University of Manchester. The first edition of this book was done in 1969 and the second edition in 1972. It has been translated into many Indian languages like Bengali, Hindi and Gujarati and also into other foreign languages like Spanish, Chinese and Japanese . Ghoshal's "Modern Physics" was the first book written for students in engineering institutes, particularly those studying electrical engineering.
